Square Victoria

A distinguished public square during the last century, Square Victoria has seen a number of changes over the years, a casualty of over-development which altered its design and standing in the urban landscape.

The redevelopment of Victoria Square has restored the square to its original glory(dating back to 1872) with a contemporary vision and design. The north end of the square was modified and a new street was designed on its west side. Completing the vision are 29 water jets, rows of trees on the east and west sides and the creation of an art platform (l'Agora du Square) at the north end of the square.

The Queen Victoria monument (1872), the Guimard entrance from the Paris Métro (early 20th century), the glass entrance of the Métro and flower market also enhance the area, which has regained its original prestige.
